Vedder Price’s Patent Litigation practice group member regularly appear as lead counsel in prominent cases. Practice group members have regularly appeared in patent litigation "hot spots" in the United States, such as the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of California and the District of Delaware. In addition, Vedder Price has unparalleled experience in the Northern District of Illinois, one of the busiest district courts for patent litigation filings. Our attorneys have substantial experience representing both patent owners and accused infringers and, as a result, are familiar with litigation tactics and strategies necessary to provide solutions for both plaintiffs and defendants.
The Patent Litigation practice group members regularly appear before the U.S. Federal Circuit and have been successful in presenting both patent owners’ and defendants’ positions to the court. In addition, Vedder Price regularly tracks the decisions of the court and provides analysis of its decisions to clients to alert them to changes that may impact their business.
The Vedder Price Patent Litigation practice group includes lawyers with significant experience in proceedings before the International Trade Commission (ITC), including the entry of exclusion orders, working with customs to enforce the rulings of the ITC and assisting clients in negotiating settlements that provide for the continued importation of accused products.
