Patent Litigation
Vedder Price’s IP Litigation Team members regularly appear as lead counsel in district courts throughout the country. Team members have regularly appeared in patent litigation "hot spots" such as the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of California, and the District of Delaware. In addition, Vedder Price has unparalleled experience in the Northern District of Illinois, one of the busiest district courts for patent litigation filings. The team members have substantial experience for both patent owners and accused infringers and, as a result, are familiar with litigation tactics and strategies necessary to provide solutions for both plaintiffs and defendants.
Federal Circuit
The IP Litigation Team members regularly appear before the Federal Circuit and have been successful in presenting both patent owners’ and defendants’ positions to the court. In addition, Vedder Price regularly tracks the decisions of the court and provides analysis of its decisions to clients to alert them to changes that may impact their business.
International Trade Commission
The Vedder Price IP team includes lawyers with significant experience in proceedings before the ITC, including the entry of exclusion orders, working with customs to enforce the rulings of the ITC and assisting clients in negotiating settlements that provide for the continued importation of accused products.
