Speaking Engagement: ABA Construction Litigation Teleconference

04/13/2010 - 04/13/2010

Shop drawings have long been a thorn in the side of both design teams and construction teams.  Fabricators, contractors, and suppliers find them necessary in order to complete their jobs correctly.  But they can be time consuming to review and approve.  And if a tiny detail is missed, it can have a disastrous effect on the entire project.

In this teleconference seminar, we will address both sides of a debate on what has been a lively issue between design and construction teams.  To what extent does the construction team bear responsibility for the information contained in the shop drawings and other construction and material submittals made on a given project?  By the same token, as a part of reviewing the information the constructor has provided, to what extent does the project architect or engineer accept responsibility for the information the contractor has supplied?  These and related subjects on the topic of shop drawing and submittal presentation and review will be discussed.
