Thorsness, Associate in the firm’s Litigation practice area, published “Discovering the Hidden Value of Life Insurance Policies: Application of Life Settlements in the Context of Bankruptcy” in the December 9, 2011 issue of Bloomberg Law Reports: Bankruptcy Law.
The article discusses the potential monetary value that life insurance policies hold in bankruptcy proceedings. Mr. Eidelman and Mr. Thorsness, in conjunction with co-authors Robert Stark of Melville Capital, LLC and Ken Klein of FairMarket Life Settlements Corp., advise interested trustees, debtors-in-possession and other practitioners to consult experienced life settlement brokers to evaluate options for maximizing the value of life insurance policies.
