Jeffrey C. Davis is a Shareholder at Vedder Price. Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Davis practiced corporate and financial institutions law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, technology licensing, corporate governance regulatory compliance and commercial lending, first as an attorney with ABN AMRO North America, Inc., and then as Senior Counsel for Household International, Inc.
Mr. Davis concentrates his practice on representing corporations, financial institutions, public bodies and individuals in technology licensing, records retention, eDiscovery, electronic commerce, data privacy, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory matters, corporate finance arrangements and general corporate matters. He has served as principal counsel for both vendors and users of information technology products and services. He regularly provides advice and counsel on data processing agreements, software development agreements, software licensing agreements, outsourcing arrangements, transition services agreements, multimedia content acquisition agreements, distribution agreements, consulting agreements and strategic alliances for our firm’s client base. Mr. Davis possesses a wealth of experience advising clients in the heavily regulated financial services and health care fields.
Mr. Davis also regularly counsels clients on all aspects of records management, including developing and implementing records retention programs and electronic communications policies. He has written and spoken extensively on a variety of topics relating to information technology, data privacy, records retention and electronic discovery.
Mr. Davis is a member of the American Bar Association and is active in several charitable organizations, including Kaleidoscope, Inc. and the Michael A. DeStefano Foundation.

Mr. Davis is the co-author of a chapter on Privacy in the handbook for Advising Illinois Financial Institutions (Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education-2002).
