Jonathan E. Hyun joined Vedder Price in December 2005 and is a member of the firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice groups.
Mr. Hyun has extensive experience in a wide variety of US and international employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including US tax-qualified retirement plans (including employee stock ownership plans), non-qualified deferred compensation plans, mergers and acquisitions (employment and pension issues), ERISA litigation, US and global stock-based compensation plans, executive employment and severance agreements, international executive transfers, and health care and other welfare benefits plans.
Mr. Hyun serves as co-chair of the Subcommittee on Regulation of Specialized Types of Retirement Income Plans of the American Bar Association’s Employee Benefits Committee of the Labor and Employment Law Section. He also serves as a board member of the Korean American Bar Association—Chicago Chapter. Mr. Hyun has published several articles related to employee benefits and executive compensation law and is a contributing author and chapter editor of the American Bar Association’s treatise, Employee Benefits Law (a BNA publication), and its annual supplements.
