Stanley B. Block has practiced in the corporate, business and commercial law fields since 1957 with emphasis in complex and major commercial litigation of all kinds, including post-acquisition business disputes, patent, trademark and trade dress litigation, class actions, multiple party insurance coverage, antitrust, unfair trade practice and related matters. He also counsels and represents business clients in acquisitions and a variety of commercial transactions.
Mr. Block has served on the firm’s Board of Directors and as Practice Coordinator for the Litigation Practice Area. He is the firm’s representative to the CPR: International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the development and use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) procedures for the resolution of disputes as an alternative to full-scale litigation and a member of the CPR Panel of Neutrals. He is admitted to practice before the Illinois Supreme Court, the United States Supreme Court, various federal courts of appeals and is a member of the Trial Bar of the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois. In addition, Mr. Block is a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
