Mr. Check joined Vedder Price in 2003. He has over 15 years of experience as a highly-regarded teacher, trainer and mentor. In his nine years as a Visiting Clinical Professor of Law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, he trained and evaluated hundreds of students in lawyering skills and competencies. He helped design, deliver and administer educational and professional development classes and seminars in practice management, client interviewing and counseling, courtroom advocacy, legal research and writing, negotiation and appellate advocacy.
Mr. Check also brings to the firm an extensive and varied legal practice experience. He has tried civil and criminal cases, negotiated favorable settlements for numerous clients and has briefed and argued cases in the state and federal courts of appeals. As a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, he has trained and evaluated lawyers from many of the largest and most prestigious firms in the country.
