Ronald Scheinberg joined the New York office of Vedder Price in 1992 as a shareholder and chair of the New York office’s Equipment and Institutional Finance Practice. He concentrates his practice in corporate finance with a special focus on:

Aircraft and Equipment Finance– representing commercial banks, finance companies, underwriters, insurance companies, hedge funds, manufacturers and airlines in the financing of aircraft and other equipment, and the trading of such assets and asset-secured financial instruments. His experience includes transactions structured as, or utilizing, leveraged leases, cross-border leases, foreign sales corporations (commission and ownership), mortgage financings, operating leases, off-balance-sheet leases, U.S. Eximbank and ATSB guarantees and residual value insurance. Many of these structures utilize capital markets financing techniques including enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs) and commercial paper. In addition to aircraft, Mr. Scheinberg has represented financial institutions in the financing of railcars, satellites, industrial production facilities, cars and trucks, and office buildings.

Commercial Bank Finance– representing money-center banks in structuring, negotiating and documenting revolving credit and term loan facilities; secured and unsecured working capital lines; LBO, letters of credit, industrial development bond, commercial paper and off-balance-sheet facilities; ESOP-advantaged credit facilities; and senior and subordinated debt facilities.

Mr. Scheinberg has written on derivative products and aircraft finance matters and speaks frequently on such topics at conferences.  Mr. Scheinberg was named in Legal Media Group's Guide to the World's Leading Aviation Lawyers was named in the highest category (one of four lawyers) of leading individuals in the practice of Transportation (Aviation) Law by Chambers USA .  Mr. Scheinberg has been named one of the top aviation lawyers in the world by Euromoney Publications .  He was also named in The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers , New York Super Lawyers and was selected by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America.
