Jennifer Durham King joined Vedder Price’s Chicago office in 1998, as a member of the firm’s Corporate and Capital Markets Practice Areas. She concentrates her practice in the corporate finance and corporate transactional areas, with a focus on securities law matters. Ms. King regularly represents financial institutions, investment banks and other public and privately-held companies in a broad range of capital markets transactions, including public and private debt and equity offerings, trust preferred offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and capital planning and formation.
Ms. King counsels public companies on their reporting and disclosure obligations under the securities laws, as well as on a variety of corporate governance matters, including compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and stock exchange requirements, creation and implementation of corporate compliance programs, and shareholder and board of directors matters.
Ms. King devotes significant time to firm management matters, having served as a member of the Associate Advisory Committee for five years. She is currently Co-Chair of the firm's Summer Program and a member of the Hiring and Technology Committees.
Ms. King received her undergraduate degree from Miami University, and her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law.
