Operating Shareholder

Douglas M. Hambleton serves as the firm’s Operating Shareholder and is a member of its Executive Committee and Board of Directors. In his role as Operating Shareholder, he leads the firm’s efforts to identify and evaluate strategic affiliations with attorneys and groups of attorneys. Mr. Hambleton previously served as leader of the firm’s Corporate and General Practice Area as well as its Financial Institutions Group.

Mr. Hambleton has practiced corporate and financial institutions law since he joined Vedder Price in 1981. In addition to advising clients on financial institution regulatory and mergers and acquisitions matters, he provides corporate, transactional and finance services for various bank, financial services and general corporate clients.

Mr. Hambleton also advises closely held businesses and individuals on estate and financial planning matters.
