Mr. Davies, a shareholder of the firm, specializes in representing domestic and non-U.S. clients in complex commercial litigations and arbitrations in the U.S. and other clients in international arbitrations.
Mr. Davies’ litigation practice is broad based. He has litigated on behalf of domestic and international clients in a variety of areas, including contract, securities, antitrust, RICO, lender liability, merger and acquisition, partnership and corporate governance disputes. His clients include corporations and individuals in finance, banking, insurance, real estate, oil and gas and manufacturing. Mr. Davies has also litigated on behalf of and against sovereign states, governmental instrumentalities and international organizations. He is experienced in international litigation and arbitration issues including obtaining discovery abroad, enforcement of judgments, choice of law and forum, the enforceability and scope of arbitration agreements and the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Mr. Davies is bilingual in English and French and has represented many French and French-speaking clients in the U.S. and in international arbitrations situated abroad. He is also experienced in representing German, Swiss, English and other European and Asian clients.
Mr. Davies is the author of "International Sale of Goods; Do Not Ignore United Nations Convention" (New York Law Journal, September 20, 1999), an author of "The Roles and Motivations of Key Players in Corporate Governance Cases: Leading Lawyers on Assessing Risks, Determining Litigation Strategies and Achieving the Best Possible Outcomes" (Aspatore Books, 2007), and was a speaker at International Sales Transactions: Are You in Compliance with the CISG and UCC? (N.Y.C. Bar Center for CLE, May 2007).
