Thomas E. Schnur is a shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Finance and Transactions group. Mr. Schnur counsels clients in a variety of corporate law matters.
In his commercial finance practice, Mr. Schnur has extensive experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting commercial loan transactions, including senior and mezzanine financings, asset-based and cash flow credit facilities, acquisition financing, cross-border transactions, private placement transactions, ESOP financing transactions and commercial real estate transactions. He also represents lenders in work-out and reorganization matters and debtor-in-possession financings.
In his mergers and acquisitions practice, Mr. Schnur represents buyers and sellers of businesses in stock and asset acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and venture capital transactions.
Mr. Schnur has a particular expertise in healthcare finance transactions and leads the initiatives of the firm in that area.
Mr. Schnur is active in a number of professional organizations including the Commercial Financial Services Committee of the American Bar Association and the Association for Corporate Growth. He serves on a number of Boards including the Commercial Finance Association Education Foundation Advisory Board and the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the Entrepreneurship Institute. He is a frequent speaker and author on corporate finance and merger and acquisition issues.
