Kevin J. Kuhn is a shareholder at Vedder Price and Chair of the firm’s Insurance Law Group. He has extensive experience in the representation of insurance and reinsurance companies in complex insurance coverage, bad faith, antitrust and fraud litigation, arbitration and mediation. Mr. Kuhn has represented clients in state and federal trial and appellate courts across the United States.
Issues he has addressed include insurance and reinsurance coverage for environmental contamination, toxic torts, directors’ and officers’ liability, professional malpractice, employment practices, automobile liability, products liability, premises liability, construction liability, builders risks, inland marine, aircraft and marine hull and liability, loss of computer data, workers’ compensation, fidelity and surety risks and life, accident, medical and disability benefits.
Mr. Kuhn also counsels clients on a multitude of risk management and insurance issues, including those relating to traditional, self and captive insurance programs. He advises businesses on the creation and management of insurance and other risk transfer mechanisms, the drafting of insurance policy language, contractual insurance and indemnity provisions and claims management and administration.
Mr. Kuhn also represents automobile and motorcycle dealerships in matters involving dealership agreement termination and proceedings before the Motor Vehicle Review Board.
