Charles B. Wolf focuses his practice on labor, employment and employee benefits law and litigation, representing employers and multi-employer funds. He was lead counsel in several well-known employee benefits cases and has handled the labor and benefits aspects of numerous mergers and acquisitions. He has extensive experience in all aspects of employee benefit plan design and administration, executive compensation, collective bargaining, NLRB and arbitration proceedings, employment discrimination cases, wrongful discharge cases and general labor and employment law matters. Mr. Wolf’s clients are engaged in many industries, including chemicals, food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, foundry, construction and heavy equipment manufacturing.

Formerly, Mr. Wolf was a member of the firm’s executive committee and also served as leader of the firm’s Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits area. He is co-author of a leading treatise, ERISA Claims & Litigation . Most recently, Mr. Wolf was appointed as a Senior Editor of the BNA publication, Employee Benefit Law created by the ABA Labor Section, Employee Benefits Committee.

Mr. Wolf has lectured extensively to business and professional groups and has written many articles for professional publications on benefit issues. Mr. Wolf is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Labor and Employment Law and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. He is co-chair of the ABA Labor Section’s Employee Benefits Committee subcommittee on multi-employer plans. In 2003, Mr. Wolf was inducted as a Fellow in The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

He was named by the National Law Journal as one of the top benefits lawyers in the country and he is listed in Who’s Who in America and has been recognized by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer (2007 edition). For 2008, Mr. Wolf was listed among the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Illinois.
