Michelle D. Velásquez is an Associate with Vedder Price and a member of the Litigation and Labor and Employment practice areas. Ms. Velásquez represents clients in a wide variety of commercial and business disputes including commercial torts, insurance, employment, bankruptcy, securities and breach of contract.

Ms. Velásquez has extensive experience in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters, including defending actions brought under federal securities laws challenging mergers and acquisitions and alleging breaches of fiduciary duties by directors and officers, and representing lenders in connection with adversary proceedings brought in bankruptcy court. She also has experience in representing institutional and individual clients during governmental and internal investigations, regulatory proceedings and related civil actions.

Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Velásquez was an associate at Latham & Watkins LLP. She graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law magna cum laude. While in law school, Ms. Velásquez interned for the Honorable Dennis M. Cavanaugh, D.N.J.
