Matthew T. O’Connor is a shareholder in the Finance and Transactions Group at Vedder Price which consists of the firm’s finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate practice areas. Mr. O’Connor joined Vedder Price in 1994 as an associate following law school. Mr. O’Connor counsels lenders and borrowers in commercial lending and secured transactions involving senior and mezzanine credit facilities, leveraged and management buyouts and asset-based lending. Mr. O’Connor also counsels clients in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private equity and general corporate counseling on a variety of business matters.

Mr. O’Connor also has significant experience representing secured creditors in corporate restructurings and workouts of distressed companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O’Connor was employed as a regulator in the futures and options capital markets.
