Jeffrey T. Veber is a shareholder in the New York office of Vedder Price, and a member of the firm’s Equipment Finance Group, which consists of a dedicated team of corporate, tax, securities and bankruptcy attorneys in Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. Mr. Veber advises lenders, export-credit agencies, lessees, equity participants and others in a variety of equipment finance matters in the transportation industry, including cross-border leveraged leases, tax-motivated structured financings, mortgage financings, operating lease financings, securitizations and asset purchase agreements involving commercial aircraft, corporate jets, rolling stock, vessels and other machinery and equipment.
Since 1994, Mr. Veber’s primary focus has been the representation of clients in aircraft finance matters. Mr. Veber is recognized in the industry for his work with the Export-Import Bank of the United States in cross-border aircraft leasing transactions, having represented Ex-Im Bank in numerous structured finance transactions for airlines located throughout the world. Mr. Veber also has considerable experience representing commercial banks, finance companies, investment banks, insurance companies, corporate operators and airlines in all aspects of aircraft finance.
Mr. Veber also represents commercial banks and equity participants in financings involving rolling stock, including leveraged lease financings, tax-motivated structured financings, mortgage financings and operating lease financings.
Mr. Veber has been named as one of the world’s leading Aviation Lawyers by Euromoney Publications for each of the past seven years and has been named in Euromoney’s The Best of the Best publications in 2005 and 2007. Additionally, Mr. Veber has been named in the 2006 edition of The International Who’s Who of Aviation Lawyers . Mr. Veber is admitted to practice in New York and Illinois and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
