Maureen A. Miller joined Vedder Price as a shareholder in 2001 and is a member of the firm’s Investment Services Group. Ms. Miller began her career at Vedder Price where she was an associate from 1986 to 1991.

Ms. Miller concentrates her practice on corporate and securities matters with a focus on investment advisers, investment companies and their independent directors, broker-dealers and banks. She counsels investment services clients on securities laws, regulatory issues, product design and implementation, transactional matters and e-issues. She also advises public and private, domestic and foreign operating companies on general corporate and securities law issues.

During the period 1991 to 1996, Ms. Miller served as Vice President and Associate Counsel with Kemper Financial Services, Inc. In that capacity, she was responsible for the legal services provided to several open-end and closed-end investment companies.

She is a frequent speaker at legal and industry conferences throughout the country. Ms. Miller authored an article for the Spring 2001 issue of CyberStrategies entitled "Financial Privacy Provisions."
