Ms. Schall concentrates her practice on a wide range of bank and thrift-related matters, including regulatory issues, mergers and acquisitions, development of new financial products and general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Ms. Schall served as an attorney for the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, where her responsibilities included supervisory, regulatory and enforcement matters. She routinely advised clients on applications submitted for bank mergers, holding company formations, acquisitions and new service requests. She counseled bank examiners on potential regulatory and enforcement actions and participated in the ongoing supervision of banks and holding companies.
During her tenure at the Fed, she served as counsel to the Federal Reserve System’s centralized Customer Relations and Support Office. In that capacity, Ms. Schall counseled internal clients on nearly all aspects of the FedLine Access Services, which provide access to financial products such as Fedwire, FedACH and various check services. Her responsibilities included advising clients on marketing, sales, security and privacy issues, as well as the development and ongoing maintenance of electronic systems.
Ms. Schall has served as Chair of the Financial Institution Committee of the Chicago Bar Association and has been a frequent speaker at industry meetings, including the Illinois Bankers Association and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.
