Christopher J. Reckamp is a shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Law Practice Area. He has over 20 years of intellectual property experience in both law firm and corporate environments. He provides services for various high-tech Fortune 50 companies, midsize and small cap companies.
Mr. Reckamp provides patent litigation services and has assisted clients in defense actions and asserting patent rights before the International Trade Commission and district courts throughout the United States. Mr. Reckamp prepares and prosecutes patent applications throughout the world and also prepares infringement and validity opinions for clients in connection with their business objectives. In addition Mr. Reckamp also provides other IP services for his clients, including worldwide trademark prosecution, licensing of intellectual property, and mediation of intellectual property disputes. He has also performed appellate advocacy before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., and before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has served as Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Committee and was selected in Illinois Super Lawyers by his peers.
Mr. Reckamp has written numerous patent applications covering a wide range of technologies, including video and graphics imaging technology, integrated circuit fabrication techniques, analog and digital telecommunications, computer software, medical equipment, mechanical systems, automotive computer control systems, computer disk drive technology, video graphics acceleration circuits and systems, information security software and systems, and computer systems and circuits. He was also an electrical engineer for four years, designing digital control systems and associated software for Motorola, Inc.
