Christopher J. Reckamp is a shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Technology Law Practice Area. He has over 13 years of intellectual property experience in both law firm and corporate environments. He provides services for various high-tech Fortune 50 companies, midsize and small cap companies.
Mr. Reckamp has litigated patent infringement actions and developed a concentration in drafting high-quality patent applications with minimal impact on the inventors; prosecuting patent applications throughout the world; preparing infringement and validity opinion letters; worldwide trademark prosecution; litigation support; licensing intellectual property and mediation of intellectual property disputes. He has also performed appellate advocacy before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in Washington, D.C., and before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He has served as the Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association's Intellectual Property Committee (1998-2000).
Mr. Reckamp has written numerous patent applications covering a wide range of technologies, including analog and digital telecommunications, computer software, video imaging technology, mechanical systems, automotive computer control systems, computer disk drive technology, video graphics acceleration circuits and systems, information security software and systems, and computer systems and circuits. He was also an electrical engineer for four years, designing digital control systems and associated software for Motorola Inc.
