Nicholas S. Harned is a member of the firm’s Health Care, Health Care Finance and Finance and Transactions Groups. A significant portion of Mr. Harned’s practice involves representing lenders in financing transactions with health care entities. Mr. Harned also counsels health care clients on all aspects of health care law, including regulatory compliance matters such as federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, HIPAA compliance, and Medicare and Medicaid certification and reimbursement issues. Mr. Harned also has significant experience representing health care clients in sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters.

Mr. Harned received his LL.M. in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001. He is a cum laude graduate from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he received his J.D. and was a member of the Wisconsin Law Review. He also received his B.S. from the University of Wisconsin.

Mr. Harned is admitted to practice law in Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, and the Illinois and Wisconsin State Bar Associations.
