Gregory G. Wrobel serves as the firm’s Antitrust Group Leader and maintains a broad litigation and counseling practice covering a range of substantive areas in both federal and state courts. He has participated in litigation and trial work for a number of major corporate clients on complex antitrust, unfair competition, health care, civil rights, restrictive covenant and trade secret matters, and a wide range of other commercial disputes, including class action, bankruptcy and real estate litigation matters.
Mr. Wrobel is the author of "Antitrust Concerns in Forming and Operating Partially-Integrated Health Care Ventures in a Managed Care/Managed Competition Environment," in Antitrust and Evolving Health Care Markets (DePaul University College of Law, Loyola University Chicago Law School, Chicago Bar Association, 1995); "Antitrust Issues in Managed Care," in Managing the Risks of Managed Care (Aspen Executive Reports 1996); "Antitrust Concerns in Managing the Managed Care Organization: Marshfield Clinic and Beyond," presented at the Thirteenth Annual Health Law Symposium of the Illinois Association of Health Care Attorneys (November 1995); "1995-96 Legal Developments: Physician Staff Privileges, Exclusive Dealing and Provider Networks and Joint Ventures," presented at Antitrust and Health Care: New Approaches and Challenges, sponsored by the Antitrust and Health Law Sections of the American Bar Association (October 1996); "New Clothes for the Emperor? Tailoring Section 2 Standards for Predatory and Exclusionary Conduct," Antitrust (Fall 2003); "We're Not in Kansas Anymore: Arbitrating Antitrust Claim," in Antitrust (Fall 2004); Counsel Beware: Preventing Spoliation of Electronic Evidence in Antitrust Litigation," in Antitrust (Anticipated Publication Summer 2006). Mr. Wrobel was Current Developments Editor during 1996-99 for the Antitrust Health Care Chronicle, a quarterly publication of the Health Care Committee of the American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section. He was the contributing author for the health care chapter in the Antitrust Section’s 1995 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments, a member of the Editorial Board for the 1997 Annual Review, and Co-Editor in Chief for the 2002 Annual Review. He was a member of the Antitrust Section’s Books and Treatises Committee during 2000-02, and has served as an Associate Editor of Antitrust magazine since 2003. He has been a speaker and moderator for antitrust and health law programs of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, National Community Mental Healthcare Council, National Business Institutes, Federal Bar Association, American Society of Association Executives, and the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association.
Mr. Wrobel has been recognized by his peers as an Illinois Super Lawyer (2007 edition).
