Co-Chair, Subprime Lending and Mortgage Task Force

Mr. Bhatt, a Shareholder, joined Vedder Price as a member of the firm’s Capital Markets, Finance and Transactions, Global Transportation Finance and Financial Institutions groups. Mr. Bhatt is co-chair of the firm’s Subprime Lending and Mortgage Task Force.

Mr. Bhatt represents commercial banks, commercial paper conduits, underwriters, placement agents and related affiliates, issuers and specialty lenders in a wide range of asset-backed securitizations and transactions. He is adept at assisting clients in all aspects of securitizations, including the structuring, negotiation and documentation of these complex financial transactions. His primary emphasis is the securitization of accounts receivable, equipment loans and leases (including commercial aircraft loans and leases), credit card receivables, senior life settlements, student loans, mortgage and insurance premium contracts and the negotiation of financial guaranty insurance policies.

He served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Alex Kozinski, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth District.
