Matthew P. Larvick is a shareholder in the Corporate Practice Area, specifically corporate taxation.
Mr. Larvick’s practice focuses on federal income taxation, with a particular emphasis on structuring partnership and limited liability company transactions. His experience includes advising and structuring private equity and hedge funds, corporate joint ventures, equity compensation arrangements, family partnerships and investment funds, and real estate investment vehicles.
Mr. Larvick also has significant experience in dealing with the tax aspects of cross-border structured finance transactions, aircraft ownership structuring, and mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes federal income tax controversy resolution, both in front of the Internal Revenue Service and in federal court.
Mr. Larvick is an adjunct professor in the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Graduate Tax Program. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and served as Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review.
