David P. Kaminski joined Vedder Price’s Corporate Finance and Transactions Practice Group in 1998. He combines significant business training and experience with a practical approach to the practice of law resulting in pragmatic and cost-effective solutions to legal challenges.
Mr. Kaminski counsels corporate, lending and institutional clients on a variety of matters, including commercial finance, secured lending, venture capital, private equity, subordinated debt, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate counseling. He has successfully represented clients in transactions ranging from complex multi-million-dollar international transactions involving public company participants to smaller transactions involving middle-market and emerging-market businesses.
Mr. Kaminski is able to provide his clients with "value-added legal advice" as a result of his technical business training and hands-on business experience. Having an M.B.A. from a top-ranked program (with intense course work in finance, business valuations and strategic development) and having prior experience at a privately held middle-market distribution company as well as involvement with a number of successful start-up ventures allows him to relate well to his business-focused clients. He understands the business principles and motivations that drive business today.
