Theodore J. Tierney is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Area. He has counseled small and large manufacturing, service and not-for-profit corporations in all aspects of labor law. He is a successful litigator and has held the position of Trial Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. From 1964 to 1967, he held the position of Judge Advocate as Captain in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Tierney is a frequent lecturer on labor law matters before trade and professional associations.

Mr. Tierney was recognized by the Labor Relations Institute as one of the "Top One Hundred Labor Attorneys" in the United States for 2009. The honor was determined by the number of NLRB elections in which each attorney provided representation and the success of those election outcomes. Inclusion on the list represents the top one percent of labor attorneys in the country. In addition, Mr. Tierney received an "AV Preeminent" Peer Rating in Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Tierney is a member of the Chicago and American Bar Associations, as well as the Law Club of Chicago.
