Mr. Rigg concentrates his practice in all areas of intellectual property including patent, trademark, copyright and trade secret law with a primary focus on patent infringement.

He has a special focus in the areas of complex patent infringement litigation of all types of technology including heavy machinery, pharmaceutical, chemistry, computer technology as well as business method patents. He has appeared as lead counsel in numerous Federal District Courts, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the International Trade Commission and is a member of the Trial Bar for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. In addition, he has counseled clients on intellectual property asset management, the procurement and enforcement of patents, trademark and copyrights, interference proceedings in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, licensing and confidentiality agreements.

Mr. Rigg is also registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
