Benjamin K. Herrington is a member of the Real Estate group and the Finance and Transactions group. He focuses his practice on secured lending, workouts, restructurings, commercial mortgage securitization and mezzanine debt.
Finance
Mr. Herrington has extensive experience in real estate finance, representing lenders and investors in mortgage, construction, mezzanine and portfolio loan transactions ranging from $10 million to $15 billion involving commercial, office, multifamily, retail, industrial and hotel properties.
Acquisition/Disposition
Mr. Herrington represents clients in the acquisition and disposition of real property, including commercial, office, multifamily, retail, condominium, resort and industrial properties.
Leasing
Mr. Herrington advises tenants, landlords and lenders with respect to retail, commercial, office and industrial leasing matters, including lease negotiation, leasehold financing and related matters.
Prior to joining Vedder Price, Mr. Herrington was an Assistant Vice President for Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., where he handled loan workouts, restructurings, note sales, foreclosures, REO dispositions and loan portfolio acquisitions. Prior to his tenure at Wells Fargo, he was a member of the Real Estate group and the Investment Products and Derivatives group at Sidley Austin LLP.
