William F. Walsh represents and advises a variety of business and not-for-profit entities, including business corporations, partnerships, trusts, professional associations as well as charitable, educational, fraternal and health care organizations, on many aspects of their organization, operations and restructuring.

Mr. Walsh has particular experience and expertise in dealing with a wide variety of federal tax exemption and unrelated business income tax issues, especially for tax-exempt health care providers, educational organizations and professional associations.  He is familiar with the requirements for obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, and has broad experience in dealing with the Internal Revenue Service on exempt organization matters. Mr. Walsh has, for many years, had principal responsibility for the tax-exempt organization facets of the firm’s Tax & Estate Planning Group, and he has been significantly involved in almost all of the firm’s major tax counseling for, and representation of,  tax-exempt organizations during the past thirty years.

Mr. Walsh’s practice also includes extensive counseling and representation on a broad range of executive compensation matters, including employment agreements, incentive compensation arrangements and separation arrangements, as well as substantial involvement in corporate and contract matters.
