Cameron A. Gee is a Shareholder at Vedder Price and a member of the Global Transportation Finance team. With more than 12 years of experience, Mr. Gee concentrates his practice in corporate finance with a special focus on equipment and commercial bank finance.
Mr. Gee represents airlines, commercial banks, finance companies, investment banks, lessors, lessees, manufacturers, servicers and underwriters in the financing of aircraft, railcars, engines, semiconductors, simulators, medical equipment, industrial equipment, music catalogs, power generation and transmission assets and real estate. He also handles aircraft pre-delivery payment financings, bulk aircraft sales and purchases and related financings, cross-border leases, EETCs, mortgage financings, leveraged leases, off-balance-sheet financings, operating leases, securitizations, Export-Import Bank of the United States guaranteed loans and warehouse financings. Many of the transactions Mr. Gee handles include financing structures established across multiple jurisdictions with aircraft and other assets deployed globally. These structures often involve capital markets financing techniques, including the use of bankruptcy-remote special purpose entities. He also represents commercial banks and other parties in derivatives transactions, letter of credit arrangements, secured and unsecured financings, term loan facilities and other transactions.
Mr. Gee has published several articles, including "The Collateralization of Swap Obligations in Leveraged Financings" and "Aircraft Pre-Delivery Payment Financing Transactions," the latter appearing in The Journal of Structured Finance.
