Deborah Bielicke Eades Quoted in IA Week

Deborah Bielicke Eades, Shareholder and member of the firm’s Investment Services practice group, was quoted in the article “Advisers can exceed ownership limits when investing in foreign funds” in a recent issue of IA Week.
Ms. Eades commented on a recent SEC staff interpretation to, according to the article, “relax the limits on a mutual fund’s ownership of another investment company if the acquired entity is a foreign fund.”
Ms. Eades commented favorably on the staff interpretation, saying that “it’s very difficult to assess and monitor compliance with foreign mutual companies because they’re not structured to meet our U.S. laws.”
