John Bycraft Joins Equipment Finance Group
[Chicago, October 3] The law firm of Vedder Price announces that John T. Bycraft, formerly with Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP, has joined the firm’s well-respected Equipment Finance Group in its Chicago office. Mr. Bycraft concentrates in loan and lease transactions, primarily involving big ticket equipment.
“We are delighted to have Jack join our Equipment and Structured Finance Group,” said corporate practice leader, Jonathan H. Bogaard. “His special talents in the area of equipment and aircraft financing as well as cross-border leasing transactions represent a valuable addition to our group.”
A graduate of Santa Clara University (B.S., cum laude, 1989) and the University of Notre Dame Law School (J.D., 1992), Mr. Bycraft has broad-based experience in representing lenders, lessors, lessees and equity investors in structured finance transactions involving a wide range of collateral. His experience includes representing secured lenders of commercial aircraft operating lessors in bankruptcy-remote loan structures. He has represented equity investors and lessees in U.S. and cross-border leveraged and single investor lease financings involving aircraft, rolling stock, telecommunications equipment and other machinery and equipment. Mr. Bycraft also has significant experience in a variety of other loan and lease structures.
