Vedder Price Announces IP Litigation Practice Group

[CHICAGO, June 16] The Law firm of Vedder Price today announced the establishment of a new technology and intellectual property litigation group dedicated to providing client solutions for a broad range of trademark, copyright, patent and trade secret legal issues. The practice will be headed by Thomas R. Dee, a 13-year veteran of the firm, and supported by a group of 17 litigation attorneys. The creation of this new practice group formalizes Vedder Price’s commitment to intellectual property litigation and complements the work being done by the firm’s 13 patent and technology attorneys.
In accepting the role as head of the new practice group, partner [shareholder] Mr. Dee commented: “The formalization of a technology and intellectual property practice will enable Vedder Price to better respond to the growing demand from our clients for these types of services. We continue to see a substantial numbers of clients who are concerned about protecting their intellectual property investments. Mr. Dee has extensive jury and bench trial experience in complex commercial matters, including breach of contract, products liability, trademark, copyright and patent infringement, trade secret violations and enforcement of restrictive covenants. He represents clients ranging from internet/e-business to Fortune 500 companies in federal and state courts across the country and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has appeared and argued before the Federal Circuit, the Illinois Appellate Court and the federal Seventh and Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
