Blagojevich Bets That Wiretap Playing Will Lead to Acquittal

James S. Montana, Jr., a Shareholder and member of the Litigation Practice at Vedder Price, was quoted extensively in an article by Bloomberg News on the pending trial of former Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich.
Mr. Montana told Bloomberg News: "We would never had the types of discussions that Blagojevich had with Governor Edgar. This just would never have happened."
Mr. Montana served as General Counsel to Governor Jim Edgar, the Governor's top legal adviser. He is also a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and former Chief Justice of the Illinois Court of Claims. His practice is concentrated in white-collar criminal defense, civil and criminal antitrust matters and parallel civil and administrative proceedings.
