2008 Unity Award Dinner

The Filipino American Bar Association and The John Marshall Law School will hold their sixth annual Unity Award dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Westin River North Hotel, Chicago.

Judge Ann Claire Williams of the U.S. Court of Appeals will receive the Unity Award, and representatives of several bar associations will respond to a ceremonial oath of office.

Diversity Awards will be presented to Aurora Abella-Austriaco of Peck, Bloom, Austriaco & Koening; Philip L. Harris of Jenner & Block, and Carlina Tapia-Ruano of Tapia-Ruano & Gunn.

Base on the theme, “Diversity: The Common Threads We Weave,” the event will begin with a 5 p.m. reception, followed by 6 p.m. dinner and program. Proceeds will benefit the Diversity Scholarship Foundation-NFP.
