Thomas G. Hancuch is a Shareholder at Vedder Price, where he represents employers in all aspects of employee benefits, labor and employment law. His practice focuses on employee benefit plan design and administration; benefit claims and litigation; employee relations and benefits aspects of mergers, acquisitions, workforce reductions and outsourcing; leaves of absence and accommodation of employees with disabilities; employment discrimination; harassment and retaliation claims; employee leasing and worker classification; executive compensation; wage and hour laws; employee discipline and discharge; and other human resources matters.
Mr. Hancuch represents a wide variety of employers, including financial institutions, hospitals, life sciences companies, manufacturers, contractors and service providers. His clients range in size from small professional corporations with a handful of employees to large multinational corporations. He works closely with management, human resources professionals and corporate counsel to develop practical, cost-effective solutions for clients.

Mr. Hancuch writes and speaks frequently on human resources topics. He is an active member of the American Bar Association’s Employee Benefits Committee and serves as Co-Chair of the Subcommittee on ERISA Preemption, having previously co-chaired the Subcommittee on Employment Discrimination and Employee Benefits. Mr. Hancuch is a contributor to and editor of the leading legal treatise Employee Benefits Law, published by BNA Books.
