Michael A. Nemeroff is President and CEO of Vedder Price, as well as Chairman of the Finance & Transactions practice group. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of the firm’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Nemeroff counsels corporations in mergers and acquisitions transactions and governance matters. He provides private equity firms and family offices with experienced direction in leveraged buyouts and growth capital investments. He also guides financial institutions in complex finance transactions. Further, Mr. Nemeroff negotiates and structures executive compensation arrangements for companies, management teams, compensation committees and executives. His many clients include The Edgewater Funds, Ally Financial, L Squared Capital Partners, LongueVue Capital, Enova International, Monroe Capital, CIT Group, Bank of America, CIBC Bank, Oil-Dri Corporation of America, GrubHub, Duchossois Capital Management, Wynnchurch Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Balmoral Funds and Vance Street Capital.

Mr. Nemeroff is a member of the Board of Directors of Oil-Dri Corporation of America (NYSE: ODC) and the Executive Advisory Board of The Edgewater Funds. He is active in charitable and civic affairs as an Executive Committee and Board Member of the Chicago Children’s Choir and Chairman of the Board of
The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California.

Mr. Nemeroff, an authority on M&A and finance matters, makes appearances on CNBC and Bloomberg Television. He is also a member of the The Commercial Club of Chicago. Mr. Nemeroff was named by his peers as a Top Ten Illinois Transactional Lawyer by Leading Lawyer and he is listed in Who’s Who in Chicago Business by Crain’s Chicago Business. He has been selected for inclusion from 2005 to 2023 by Illinois Super Lawyers, and is ranked in the Chambers USA Illinois Corporate/M&A category and the Legal 500 United States M&A/Corporate and Commercial—M&A: Middle-Market (Sub-$500M) category.  Mr. Nemeroff has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America since 2017 in the Corporate Law category.
