Mehtap Cevher Conti is a Shareholder in the New York office of Vedder Price and is a member of the Global Transportation Finance group, whose performance led Vedder Price to be named Aviation 100 Law Firm of the Year 2015. Her practice focuses on asset finance, in particular aircraft and other equipment.
Ms. Cevher Conti represents commercial and investment banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, aircraft operating lessors and airlines in a broad range of cross-border finance transactions. These transactions include secured debt transactions, export credit agency supported transactions, revolving credit facilities, leveraged leases, portfolio acquisitions, asset-backed structured financings and securitizations. Ms. Cevher Conti regularly handles finance transactions involving multiple jurisdictions throughout the world. She also advises clients in the purchase and lease financing of corporate aircraft and helicopters.
Ms. Cevher Conti has experience in capital markets transactions, including representing issuers and initial purchasers of U.S. Ex-Im Bank guaranteed bonds, issuers of Rule 144A bonds secured by aircraft portfolios, issuers of unsecured senior debt private placements and initial purchasers of high-yield debt securities. Ms. Cevher Conti’s experience also includes secured and unsecured revolving credit and term loan facilities and lease financing of gaming equipment. She represented numerous lenders in connection with the restructuring of leveraged lease transactions during the bankruptcy proceedings of U.S. airlines.
Ms. Cevher Conti, a native of Turkey, is fluent in Turkish.
